Nominated twice for Australian Television Logies winning both times for ‘A Town Like Alice’  and ‘The Shiralee’. First actor inducted into the Australian TV Hall of fame.
 
Nominated for Golden Globe and Emmy for ‘The Thorn Birds’.

Received a number of awards for his contribution to Australian Film, having starred in some 25 Australian Feature Films in the past 25 years.
